Crafting is like breathing...

As far as I can remember, I have always been busy creating something. Having come from a family with 3 main obsessions: nature, books and crafting, it's not surprising that I'm trying to give my children the same bundle.

Crafting is not like a hobby for us, it's part of our everyday life just like cooking or doing housework. We have always made sure that our children take part in everything we do. They joined their dad in the kitchen or in his music studio way before they were 1 year old and started to enjoy crafting with me as soon as they could hold a pencil.
Now, at the age of 4, 7 and 12, they can crochet and knit a bit, sew, needlefelt, do some woodwork, origami, etc.
As I am very proud of them and also try to encourage other families to find joy in working together on different projects, I opened a Facebook page, called Our Craft Nook to share our story and post our makes.

I opened Our Craft Nook on Etsy in February 2020 to sell our best makes. In most cases, the maker was myself but I have to admit that my younger ones either inspired or assisted me, my daughter gave me ideas, criticised or made some herself (for example, the tiny books are solely her ideas and makes). In fact, it was her, who introduced me into the world of miniatures, she makes awesome dollhouses and I got totally lost in it, I just can't stop, I'm full of ideas. But on the one hand, we don't have enough space in our real nook (home :) ) to store all the projects, like the dollhouses, on the other, we try to make some pocket money to buy more craft supplies. Me, as a stay-at-home mum and a crafter (I make nest jewellery for mums; please, visit my shop if you're interested: prideandpear.etsy.com or Pride and Pearl Jewellery on Fb), would like this little shop to work and turn it into a small business eventually.
